Factoring

Factoring services for owners

Reidvale Housing Association provides factoring services to owners in buildings where we are responsible for managing common repairs, maintenance and services.

We know that factoring can sometimes feel complicated.  This page explains what we do, what owners are responsible for, how costs are shared and how to contact us if you need help.

Our aim is to provide a clear, fair and professional factoring service that helps protect buildings, support owners and improve the local area.

What is factoring?

Factoring is the management of shared parts of a building or area on behalf of owners.

This may include common repairs, buildings insurance, planned maintenance, invoices, payments and communication with owners.

In most cases, responsibilities are set out in the property’s title deeds, Deed of Condition and Reidvale’s Written Statement of Services.

Major works and planned maintenance

Some works are larger, more complex or more expensive.  These may need inspection, planning, owner consultation, contractor quotes and formal approval before work can begin.

Factoring invoices and payments

We will send invoices for factoring charges and explain what the charges relate to.

If you are having difficulty paying a factoring invoice, please contact us as soon as possible. We can talk through your situation and discuss what options may be available.
