Reidvale Housing Association has published its 2026 Annual Assurance Statement, confirming that it continues to meet all seven of the Scottish Housing Regulator's Standards of Governance and Financial Management.
The statement, approved by Reidvale's Management Committee on 28 October 2026, reflects the significant progress the Association has made in recent years to strengthen its governance, financial management and long-term planning.
A significant journey of improvement
In its 2024 Annual Assurance Statement, Reidvale reported non-compliance with two of the seven regulatory standards.
Following an extensive programme of improvement, the Association was able to confirm compliance with all seven standards in its 2025 statement, a position it has maintained in 2026.
This progress has also been independently recognised by the Scottish Housing Regulator. In April 2026, the Regulator confirmed Reidvale's compliant status and acknowledged that the improvement work undertaken had "positively transformed the organisation".
The improvements have included:
-
Strengthening governance arrangements and Management Committee oversight.
-
Developing a new Business Plan, Asset Management Strategy and long-term financial plans.
-
Improving financial management and organisational structures.
-
Strengthening the information held about the condition of Reidvale's homes to support future investment decisions.
-
Introducing more robust performance monitoring and regulatory assurance processes.
Maintaining progress and looking ahead
The 2026 Annual Assurance Statement confirms that Reidvale continues to meet all seven regulatory standards, although a small number of areas remain where further improvements are required.
The Association has updated its Governance Improvement Plan to address these areas and continues to work closely with the Scottish Housing Regulator.
The statement also confirms that Reidvale has reliable and up-to-date information about the condition of its homes. This is essential in helping the Association plan repairs, improvements and future investment.
As part of its commitment to openness and accountability, Reidvale's Management Committee regularly reviews progress against its improvement plans and monitors regulatory compliance.
The progress achieved over recent years provides a stronger foundation for Reidvale's future and its continued commitment to delivering good-quality homes and services for the local community.
