Apply for a home with Reidvale
Reidvale Housing Association provides homes in the South part of Dennistoun, a community that is regulary recognised as being a great place to live.
We know that applying for housing can feel confusing, especially if you have not done it before. This page explains how to apply, what information we need and what happens after you send us your application.
If you need help with the form, please contact us. We will do our best to support you.
Before you apply
Before you complete an application, it may help to think about:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Where do you want to live? | Reidvale’s homes are in a specific local area. |
| What size of home do you need? | This helps us assess what type of property may be suitable. |
| Who will live with you? | We need to understand your household circumstances. |
| Do you have any medical or support needs? | This may affect the type of home you need. |
| Do you have a local connection? | This may be considered as part of the application process, depending on the allocations policy. |
You do not need to know all the answers before you speak to us. If you are unsure, please ask.

| Mutual exchange information | For tenants who want to exchange homes with another tenant. |

If you need a paper copy, large print version or help completing the form, please contact us.
What happens after you apply?
After we receive your application, we will check the information you have provided.
We may contact you if:
- We need more information
- A document is missing
- Your circumstances need to be clarified
- We need to discuss your housing needs
- A suitable property may be available
Being accepted onto the housing list does not mean we can offer you a home straight away. Demand for homes is high and waiting times can vary depending on your circumstances, the size of home you need and the availability of properties.
I’d avoid giving exact waiting times unless Reidvale has reliable information and is comfortable publishing it.
Changes in your circumstances
Tell us if your circumstances change
Please contact us if something changes after you apply.
This could include:
- A change of address

- Someone joining or leaving your household
- A pregnancy or new baby
- A change in medical needs
- A change in your current housing situation
- A risk of homelessness
Keeping your information up to date helps us assess your application correctly.
