I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016 with a joint honours degree in History and Sociology, where I took a keen interest in the evolution of housing and the changing nature of the welfare state. I then undertook a brief voluntary period with several housing associations before working at Barrhead Housing Association and Molendinar Park Housing Association.
I had previously read about Reidvale Housing Association, and always felt the ethos of Reidvale resonated with my own. However, I was struck by how embedded the Association is in the local community. Reidvale is a vibrant community and with the Association, RAPA, the Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre and the Reidvale Allotments, it has a magnificent array of community focused infrastructure.
Reidvale has a rich history and I hope to play my own part in a bright future. I always strive for continuous improvement and in Reidvale there is a culture which supports this. The warm welcome from all of the committee, staff and tenants has been fantastic and testament to the positive culture surrounding the Association.
