I started working for Reidvale Housing Association in 1997 and still feel like the new start here due the length of service of other members of staff.
I really feel privileged working for Reidvale and feel that I settled into my job right away and like to believe that I have built up a good rapport with my Tenants and would like to think that Tenants feel that they can approach me about anything that I may be able to help them with.
My main role is to process rent and Housing Benefit payments through to Tenants accounts and dealing with day to day concerns of residents i.e. general estate management problems within the property such as misuse of refuse disposal etc.
I am the first point of call for residents and any matters that I am unable to help with I would then contact their Housing Officer, Patrick Devlin who is responsible for more serious issues.
I am married with two children who keep my on my toes. As a family we enjoy going out to the cinema and going out for meals together.
Reidvale Housing Association is a real Community based Housing Association and without being biased I believe them to be the best Housing Association to be with and hope our residents feel the same.
Due to Kathleen Wilson leaving the organisation after 20 years the opportunity came up for me to change my role from Housing Assistant to Maintenance and Factoring Assistant in August 2018. I absolutely love my new job and it's keeping me busy and on my toes!! I do miss working in reception with my colleagues and the interaction with the tenants but I'm always available if anyone ever needs a wee catch up. I know everyone must be missing my singing downstairs anyway?
