Our Community: Reidvale Awards & Rewards
After a great deal of discussion the Association decided that they would not continue with the Good Neighbour award from 2015. Instead it was decided to introduce a new award called THE COMMUNITY AWARD.
This award will be made to a group or an individual in the Reidvale area, where the Good Neighbour Award was restricted to only the tenant. This group or individual may have made a difference to their community or have inspired others through their achievements. This could be through volunteering, running local clubs/groups, organising local events, helping neighbours or a particular individual who has gone that extra mile. We will be looking at evidence of what this group or individual has done.
Young Persons Award
This award will be presented to a young person up to the age of 18 who makes a difference to someone in Reidvale or the Reidvale Community. We will be looking for evidence of what this person has done for an individual or the community.

Special Community Award
In addition to the above awards, from time to time, the Association will award a Special Community Award given to someone, a group or individual, who has done something exceptional. It will be decided on a year to year basis whether this award will be made.

The Association also introduced the Reidvale Rewards in 2003 which is given to most of our residents who are good tenants who pay their rent on time, look after their homes and cause no nuisance to their neighbours. Every tenant in Reidvale ‘earns’ £25 each three month period when they have not owed any money to the Association, have not missed appointments for pre-arranged visits by contractors and have not indulged in any anti-social behaviour. To earn the full amount tenants must be tenants at the start of the year and at the end of the year. Anyone moving into Reidvale during the year cannot qualify for the full Reward.
